About us...

Welcome to the art and science of baking: Bakeology By Sue! I'm excited to share this sweet journey of creating unique sweet treats for the community! 
My first job over 35 years ago was working in a small German bakery in the town I grew up in on Long Island.  Little did I know that baking would become a lifelong hobby!  While pursuing my bachelor's degree in biology, I continued to work in various bakeries to make extra money.  After graduation, I worked in pharmaceuticals in sales and training, ultimately running a life sciences learning agency. This career still feeds my science soul!  I love to help clients educate their employees to be the best they can be.
Along the way, I continued to bake for family, friends, and colleagues.  The smile on faces when they see something unique and fun, then the extra delight when they realize it tastes good, too!  I've brought endless cookies and cupcakes to school events, family birthdays, girl scouts, office parties, and even shipped cookies to co-workers around the world. 
New Jersey now allows Cottage Food Operators, which means baking from a home kitchen and selling non-temperature controlled foods like cupcakes, cookies, marshmallows, and more.  I became certified and obtained my CFO license in December of 2023 (CFO #1815).  Shipping is not allowed, so this really is a local business.
Now, my science background and passion for baking come together to create small sweet treats!  Bakeology By Sue is open and ready to serve the local Morris Plains area community.  Thanks so much for pausing to read about my business, and I hope I can design and bake something super special for you.  Please reach out with custom requests!
